They Love Me, They Love Me Not

God has no pleasure in men being lost.
He's not willing that any should perish.
Man is God's prized creation
of whom He does love and cherish.

The Lord does not send people down to hell.
They go there by their own choice
when they choose to stay on the road of sin,
disobeying and spurning God's voice.

He created man with his own free will.
He didn't make a compliant robot.
The decision rests solely in our hands
to love Him or love Him not.

"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9
