Beelzebub

by Kathy Kimbrough © 2003

He's always there to hinder
And he's always there to lie.
He never misses an opportunity
To cause a wounded person to die.

He tells them they're no good
And causes oppression they cannot shake.
He condemns them with his words
Because their lives he wants to take.

At the scent of death he gloats
And he lives to breathe it in.
His snares are all around us
To lure us in to sin.

Everything about him is evil
And murder is in his eyes.
He's a lover of death and darkness
He's "Beelzebub" lord of the flies.
