ILL RISE

by Loretta Jackson

Dry bones, come to life, dry bones arise
Power of life and death lies in my tongue, I say arise
God breathes life into my dry bones
Death be removed from me, life is coming for me
By the Resurrection Power of Jesus, I'll rise

Nothing concerning me escapes His eyes
In every season He is here, He is always near
He is in my test, in my mess
He is in my fall, in my crawl
He is in my not so good at all
He is on the ground
Greater One inside of me is where You are found

Heaven is roaring, my walls are falling
My chains are breaking, the earth are shaking
My bones are rattling
Out of the ashes, down in the trenches
I'll rise despite the hurt
Awakening rebirths, moan and groan, "I am alive"
My bones partake in God's army
Hear my battle cry, I'll rise

Weapons are formed against me, it shall not prosper
Pressure builds up, it erupts
Bigger and bigger with fiery vigor
To steal, to kill, to destroy
I stand to my feet, I raise my Sword
I stand my ground
I take back, I tear down
In the Name of Jesus, they bow

Do you hear the sound of my footsteps on the ground
I am walking into a dawn of newness, into a new tomorrow
I am enveloped in His Presence
I am gloved with His Love
And if they ask me, who art thee?
I will tell them, "I am a bone, I came to life"
He names me Favor, I speak life
