By His Own Blood

by Margaret Cagle

Some won't talk about the blood
That Christ Jesus shed for sin.
To me, His blood is very precious,
For He gave His life for all men.

Every year the blood of animals
Was shed for the remission of sin
Under the old covenant of the law
For atonement for the sins of men.

No more do we need any animals
To die for our blood sacrifice.
God sent His only Son to die.
For our sins, He paid the price.

Jesus was the precious lamb of God.
For all men His blood was shed.
"Whosoever believeth on My Son
Shall never perish," God said.

To obtain our eternal redemption,
He shed His blood for me and you.
I accepted Jesus as my Saviour.
He wants to be your Saviour too.

Hebrews 9:12, "Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood, He entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us."
