CAN WE UNDERSTAND HIS GOODNESS?

Can we understand His goodness?
Can we understand His love?
Can we understand compassion,
That brought Jesus from above?
Human minds can't comprehend it;
They don't know the reason why.
They don't want to understand it.
They don't even want to try.

But His love is all compelling.
Yes, His love does satisfy.
Yet His love is all-sufficient,
For His love does justify.
All who place their faith in Jesus;
All who come to Him in need -
They will find His full forgiveness;
They will find Him true indeed.

Jesus takes the broken-hearted;
He will seek the hurting soul.
He will fold His arms of mercy
'Round those ones to make them whole.
Why do people shun His pleading;
Why do they ignore His call;
Why do they refuse to follow?
Hence, they stumble on and fall.

What response will you make to Him?
Will you come to Him today?
Will you bow your head in sorrow
For your sins, and Him obey?
Leave the world and all its heartache;
Leave the world to all its pain;
Leave the barrenness behind you;
And your Saviour, Jesus, claim.

Then you'll find a full redemption.
You will find forgiveness there.
You will come into His presence -
Nothing with it can compare.
He will crown you with His blessings;
He will sanctify your way;
Give you life that's everlasting,
That will break to endless day.

Praise the Lord now for redemption.
Praise Him for salvation's gains.
Praise Him for His priestly caring
That supports us in our pains.
He has chosen us through mercy;
He has shown deepest love.
Lift your hearts in thanks to Jesus!
Lift your hands to Him above!
