A Prayer

Christian, has your life grown weary
A flickering light in this dark world dreary
Remember and return to your first love
Refreshed by Spirit in new life from above

Christ is still on His heavenly throne
Interceding in prayer working good throughout
He has not left us all alone
The Comforter is working within and without

Set your mind on things above
What lovely and pure and all thereof
While things of earth may press us down
All are subject to His kingly crown

Holy Word and Spirit and a humble prayer
Fellowship with others and burdens bear
Love God and others as we should
God is working all together for good

Lord, in this time of uncertainty and hate
In Your love we live and wait
In Your plans we would be, too
Now we look to You for what to do
Until taken to our heavenly estate
