Caught in time among the blind,
For sin was in my heart when born.
I walked in darkness, chains that bind.
I did not understand - was torn.
Your love to me forever.
It took a power so great to free,
Your love poured out upon the lost,
As death You chose upon a tree.
On those so blind, can't see the cost.
A death in time so clever.
Not realizing God's treasured loss,
The Father too, the pain He took,
We mocked Your name upon that cross,
From You, He turned away His look!
You rose from death, it cannot bind.
It was You for us as death gave life.
What love could only Heaven know?
You took our pain to heart - that knife!
For Righteous blood that day did flow.
Triumphant now to heal the blind.
A life so pure, it was death did slay!
Such mercy, grace poured out for me!
My sin could now be tossed away,
By one whose love now sets me free!
Your love to me forever.
Ephesians 2:5
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved
God's rich mercy removes our sin, our crime and set us free.
