The saints are talking, in the spirit I hear,
The sounds of agression ambition and fear.
They murmur so loud, but behind closed doors,
A Christian appearance with ravenous jaws.
Offences are stored and grudges are kept,
Into certain destruction believers have leapt.
Through treacherous methods they deal one to one,
Yet they worship the Father and follow the Son.
I hear gossip and backbiting from elders and flock,
Those who should know better put their heads on the block.
The so called "elect" sharpen their knives,
And they say the Lord Jesus is Lord of their lives.
I've heard lots of talk about one or another,
From those who would point at a Sister or Brother.
But I say to them now, your not called to be judge,
So sit down and shut up seek the Lord, and don't budge.
Keep in mind that hypocrisy comes in all forms,
And that the deeds of the flesh can cause a spiritual storm.
Let's make an attempt to lead by example,
Because two faced behaviour is not worth the gamble.
I beg of you church, don't go down this way,
Go sort out your squabbles while it's still called today.
For if the Lord comes and you've this on your heart,
It's too late for sorrow, there is no restart.
Please also consider the example you set,
How many others will be put off or upset.
Please don't trigger a chain reaction,
A church can be destroyed by one careless action.
So let's love each other as God loves us,
Turn away from the politics and internal fuss.
Embrace each other warts and all,
And before God and all men, stand tall.
AUTHORS NOTE:
How many times have you seen and heard your fellow saints spoken about behind their backs? How many times have you joined in or shared your own opinions? NOT GOOD!!!
This is not the way the Bible tells us to deal with each other is it? And yet nearly all churches these days has those that stir up trouble amongst the congregation by murmuring and gossip. The enemy will use these methods to divide and break up churches. All it takes is one person to bring down an entire church. Be alert to this and make sure that you nip this kind of behaviour in the bud before it goes too far. But remember to do it the right way and take our grievances if any, to the source of the problem and if they repent all is forgiven. Do not repay evil with evil no matter how good it may feel to pay back a troublemaker, it is not spiritually productive and it will lead to bondage.
