SECRET THINGS

by Peter the Poet
www.youtube.com/channel/UC_GtbBeRm8ctYlmNqax4afA

The secret things of man are buried way down deep inside,
We take them out and play with them when we think it's safe to hide,
The secret joys and darkest sins that dwell in iniquities lair,
The private pleasures waiting to come out and breathe our air,
But these things that feel so good and keep our bodies entertained,
Will rob you of eternity and leave you feeling spiritually drained.

But I have some news to shock you and scare you to the core,
There is a just and holy God who lives forever more,
All seeing and all knowing he watches all our sinful acts,
He knows our deepest secrets friends I tell you as a fact,
For one day the books will open and our secrets shown to all,
And the un-repentant heart of man will suffer damnation's fall.

So remember these things when you go home to let your secrets loose,
Don't go through life led as the condemned to the hangman's noose,
Cast off the chains that bind you to a life of constant sin,
Because keeping secrets from your God is a game you will not win,
Your better off without them if they're bad enough to conceal,
So open your heart to mercy and grace and the rest the Lord will heal.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Do you have any secret sins lurking in your heart? If you are into pornography or adultery you do. If you are a gambler or drunkard you do. A secret thing is something that is cherished and practiced although sinful and an affront to God. A man may be able to outsmart his Pastor or his family but he can not outsmart or hide anything from God, no matter how careful and discreet he is. It doesn't matter who you are or where you are, whatever we do while we are here on Earth is observed by God and noted for future reference, whether it is good or bad. It pays to remember this before you take out your secret things from their dark place to play with them. Ask the Lord to show you how to deal with your heart and give it a good clean out, lest the rubbish pile grow too high.
