Jesus

by Frankie May © 2018

Someday it will happen
I heard the prophets cry
The world will have a savior
The apple of God's eye

When all the earth is sleeping
Except a shepherds few
With sheep and cattle lowing
They saw the angles flew

Rejoice! Rejoice! The time has come
The child has been born
To take away our sins
Oh come let us adore

Pease on the earth, good will toward men
They heard the angles sing
The baby in the Manger
To all the earth He'll bring

He'll walk the earth, He'll teach and heal
Till He turns thirty three
For all the love this man gives
Just how could all this be

He took our cross upon His back
His mother's heart was broken
By His strips we are healed
The prophets all have spoken

Now He's by His father's side
His mother looking on with pride
One short life upon His earth
What He did to show us our worth

The baby in the Manger
Under the star in the sky
Was born, He died, and rose
So we would never , never die!
