"Hearts Of Clay"

by Donald Xander © 2002

Children tend to listen,
To every word we say.
Be careful when you're speaking,
And molding hearts of clay.

Do not slander others,
Don't make them your prey.
Be careful when you're speaking,
And molding hearts of clay.

Children tend to study,
Our actions day to day.
Be careful how they view you,
While molding hearts of clay.

Show them all you love them,
Show them love today.
Be careful as they view you,
While molding hearts of clay.

Take time for your children,
They should never feel alone.
Please oh please be careful,
Or you'll mold hearts of stone.
