WHY

O' why is there viciousness,
hatred, malice, slander?
Why does someone want to hurt
an innocent bystander?

Why is someone filled with greed,
resentment and disorder?
Why can't we all live in peace
and not cross evil borders.

Why does someone cause such pain
to sisters or our brothers?
Why can't we all live as one
in peace with one another?

These are questions many ask
but have not found an answer—
these actions inflict injury,
attacking like a cancer.

Let us gather one and all
in peace and harmony—
praying to Almighty God
with reverence, fervently.
