The New Day

Time does not wait nor could it ever cease
What God has set in motion will only ever increase
The Creator's Word expands the universe
And His Words will only remain
So that even mortal memory can't stop its Divinely purposed refrain
Though trapped in time's clutches the heart still beats it's appointed pace
The curse to hold it captive cant outlast Love's Free embrace
To the heart that yields to Jesus, time will be no more
So that freedom rings eternal through the wounds our Savior bore
Time was stilled in a moment upon the altar of the Lamb
Light went back to the beginning before the breath of life to man
Refusing to shine, it brought darkness, the fate of man hovering over the face of the deep
A new creation beginning while the Creator surcame to death's sleep
Blood was shed to separate Darkness from Light yet once again
But in this New Creation, was new separation from our sin
A New Day dawn's eternal, for the Lamb rose from the tomb He Lay
A Lion now born to Zion has paved the Narrow way
So those who wait upon Him now redeem such precious time
And Grace brought Love and Promise to be forever mine
