Jesus’ Scars

I am so glad
When God the Father

Sees the scars
In His Son's hands

That it doesn't stir God's anger
Wrath and judgment upon man

When someone we love
Is harmed by sin
From wicked cruel mankind

Though we desire to forgive them
We oft can't forget it in our minds

We learn through God's Agape Love
Which we will never comprehend

Not only does He forgive us
But His love for us has no end

God is God and when He forgives
He does so without regret

In fact He even goes so far
To say, He chooses to forget

Father God with tear stained face
I do Thank You for Jesus' scars

And that You've prepared a place for me
To be eternally where You are
