IN SEARCH OF PEACE

When we are feeling a little stressed,
Maybe even somewhat depressed,
It's really not all that unusual,
We may need a spiritual renewal.

We all seem to have ups and downs,
Not wearing smiles, but wearing frowns.
When it becomes too difficult to bear,
We know our Lord is always there.

He does not want us to live our life,
Bearing too much pain and strife.
He wants to bring us comfort and relief,
Not living in disharmony and grief.

So, when we're at the end of our rope,
Without much joy, or even hope,
Jesus has an answer for how we should feel,
It begins with getting down to kneel.

He wants us to talk with Him in prayer,
He wants us to know He is right there.
He is beside us every minute of the day,
And He will always show us a better way.

Just know there are many who are praying,
For what we think and what we're saying
So may God be near each and every one,
That we may find peace when the day is done.
