Nestled in the Arms of Christ

by Kristine Stanton © 2025

Each prayer I sent to Heaven's door
knocked loudly — fervently,
until the good LORD answered them —
replying wordlessly.

My life was on the edge of death —
three surg'ries in nine days.
So many prayers were lifted up
and left at God's doorway.

He did not let these prayers pass by —
He answered everyone,
and while I battled for my life
God sent His precious Son.

'Tis then...

I nestled in the arms of Christ
and finally got some rest.
He shared my pain and all my tears
as I leaned 'gainst His chest.

He understood — He empathized
with all I had gone through.
'Twas then He came to comfort me
and make me feel brand new.

Christ held me in His arms and prayed —
He lifted me in prayer.
He did not stop 'til I was healed,
while I was in His care.
