What do I do with my unwanted feelings?
Feelings that I'm not good enough.
Sometimes I feel pretty meek and gentle,
But around the edges, I can feel very rough!

I want my Savior to be proud of me,
To see my life full of compassion and grace,
May I be filled with Your tender mercies,
And those ugly feelings, I'll no longer embrace.

May I be someone who is more positive,
Loving others without condition.
I want to be known as someone who…
Will exhibit great contrition.

Yes Lord, make me into a whole new me,
Someone I can genuinely love.
I want to learn to love myself,
And will be ready for Heaven above.

So, please release my negative thoughts,
Replace them with loving visions.
Make me more like You each day,
Trying to make the best decisions.
