Indescribable

by Pat Anderson © 2022

How do I write a poem about Jesus, my Lord?
Should I lead with the fact that He loves me
much more than I could ever afford?
Still there's so much more to perceive...

I should tell you He's God incarnate,
the perfect Son of God,
that sin is the thing He most hates;
One day He'll banish it with His rod.

Did I mention how He came as a servant king
leading with humility?
All honor and praise to Him we bring;
His obedience set us free!

Words fall short to describe such a perfect man,
the infinite condensed to the finite.
If I were to list all the attributes I can,
I'd be sitting here writing all night!
