A Mother's Prayer

Keep my baby safe, LORD —
be with her through the day.
Dress her in Your armor
and keep ev-il away.

Walk with her to class, LORD —
be ever by her side.
Help her pay attention,
and not preoccupied.

Grant her wisdom — knowledge —
these blessings, please impart.
Teach her to be kind, LORD —
with love, embrace her heart.

Direct each step she takes
and make her pathway straight.
Bring her home to me, LORD —
with love, I will await.

And now...

I kneel before You, Father,
and give my thanks to You.
I'm grateful for my baby
and all You've seen her through.
