Where I kneel

by James Cowart © 2022

You say as a Christian,
I am not guilty of my sin,
Well listen closely,
And I'll tell you again.

I have been forgiven,
And that is the key,
No more condemnation,
for I AM set free.

It's not that I don't sin,
Or for what I have done,
My slate is clean,
I am washed by the son.

You asked me to explain,
So here's the deal,
It is not where I stand,
It's where I kneel.
