The Race

Lord,

Guide me to the path that's carved
with footprints Jesus made.
Take my hand and lead me where
I'll journey unafraid.

Give me speed to outrun sin
that's known to tie me down.
Help me shed what hinders me
and win the lasting crown.

Bless me as I run this race
and keep me safe from harm.
Let me see Your shining face
and strong, sustaining arms.

Be there at the finish line -
encourage me to run,
and I will run with faith and trust
until the race is done.
