Confident and Assured

The hope of heaven before me,
The purpose of life is defined,
My assurance of final acceptance,
By the heavenly Judge has been signed.

I know that I'm fully forgiven,
I know that I am Spirit sealed,
I know I am part of the body,
The church that He promised to build.

I know that I'm part of the family,
I know I can come to the throne,
I know that my steps are ordered,
And I know that I'm never alone.

I'm assured that He knows all my problems,
I'm assured that He's watching in love.
Though I may have many thorns in the flesh,
I'm assured that His grace is enough.

My faith is resting in Jesus,
And all that for me He has done.
I'm confident not in the works of my hands,
But in the victory that He has won.
