ROMAN RAGS

To all you good People of Roman Catholic belief,
I bring you Good News, a cause for relief,
Your Burden of guilt is something you can shed,
No need to carry it around until your dead,
For Jesus died only ONCE, for ALL and FOREVER,
To cover ALL sins, the Devil's work to sever.

So don't worry about Purgatory, that place is not real,
It was invented to make money, your savings to steal,
Just pay up the Priest and buy a mass for your dead,
To lessen their torment and buy peace for your head,
The Richer you are, the more you should pay,
With this clever doctrine they rake in millions per day.

The mass is a pompous religious show
What exactly goes on, you're not supposed to know,
You just show up then kneel, then sit, then stand,
Placing your spiritual health in another man's hand,
It's all fancy vestments and censers of gold,
Don't think for yourselves, just do what you are told.

Repetition of the liturgy and same prayers every week
"Don't you dare giggle sit up straight and don't speak",
Dressed up in your best you sure look the part,
But you leave as you came with a sinful empty heart,
God seeks personal relationship, not habit and tradition,
So look deep inside to your spirit's condition.

It is impossible to attend mass without committing sin,
The errors are many contained therein:
IDOLATRY is committed by worshipping to statues & icons,
Praying to dead people & other such phenomenon,
The wearing of Scapula's and praying with Beads,
Depending on Rome (Not God) to meet your needs.

The MYSTERY of the MASS is another bone of contention,
A bunch of Hocus Pocus is the usual convention,
A pageant of motions and words by the Priest,
No mistakes allowed or Grace is decreased,
A piece of bread becoming the actual body of Christ,
Like Cannibals you eat him, a false sacrifice.

Now MIRIAM (SHE WAS JEWISH) was indeed amongst all Woman blessed,
She carried the Saviour, suckled him at her breast,
She and Joseph continued to normal Family life,
Brothers and Sisters, Husband and Wife.
NOT a virgin forever, there was no need for that
Only Jesus needed to be sinless, and that is a fact.

But the church set her up as a goddess of light
With no thought to what actually is wrong or right,
They teach that Jesus's death is never enough,
A treacherous and dangerous bluff,
She's made co-redemptrix and to her you must pray,
And ignore the First Commandment every day.

The BIBLE says salvation by GRACE through FAITH, not works,
You must be aware as the danger lurks,
The catholic church teaches you the opposite thing,
Grace by works and the SACRAMENTS is the way they swing,
Just take part in the ceremonies and in the church put your trust,
And hope that into disaster you are not thrust.

The popes say they're infallible, when Ex-Cathedra they speak,
So much for the humble, what a terrible cheek,
Descendent of St Peter, in the Apostolic Succession,
A statement worthy of disdain and rejection,
Peter the Apostle was Jewish, and that is a fact,
Christian leader of Rome, Executed by Rome to be exact.

A Catholics deathbed is a place of uncertainty,
The church can't guarantee where you'll spend eternity,
But once you know Jesus and tend to his ways,
Peace and Joy will follow you all of your days,
Death loses its sting, your heart fills with hope,
You're a servant of God instead of some snobby pope.

Do you really think the Vatican represents the Lord?
That the sins of Catholicism will go by ignored?
The blood of the Martyrs rests full on their head,
They might dress in purple but they are walking dead,
A Priest marrying is a Sin, but pedophilia is alright,
On the appointed day God will wipe out this blight.

So for pities sake Catholics come out of her please,
Don't share in her torments, disaster and disease,
I could write 80 pages about how this false religion is wrong,
But their own sins and failures prove the arguments strong.
But it's best to focus on Jesus and what he did for you,
Accept his free gift and let Heaven shine through.
