Help Us to Wait Upon You

Teach us to be patient
and help us to be still.
Train our hearts to listen
and yield to Your good Will.
Bless us all with courage,
trustworthiness and grace.
Grant us strength and boldness
with all things that we face.
Give us faith that's willing
to follow You all days.
Discipline each one, Lord—
suppress each thought that strays.
Fill our hearts with Your love,
peace, mercy, joy and grace—
those that You created—
all of the human race.
Walk beside us daily—
come feed each heart and soul.
Gift us with Your blessings
each day, and make us whole.
Help us to await You,
beloved God, above.
Bring us to our knees, Lord,
in prayer to You, with love.
