Ode to the Chosen Friends

by Annie B © 2024

In whispers of the dawn, where shadows first take flight,
Where secrets of heaven are seen in perfect light,
No longer as servants, but as friends, He stands near,
To the heart of the Father, whose wisdom is clear.

Where once was the veil, now a bond will be seen;
Where once was the silence, now His truth is serene.
He speaks to our spirits, as leaves to the breeze.
With tender affection, He brings to us His peace.

As chosen companions, His trust we now hold.
The mysteries He'll whisper are like stories retold.
In the Garden of Hearts, where love is the only key,
Where the vine and the branches forever they shall be.

Not shackled by duty, not bound by the day,
But linked in the knowing, in freedom to stay.
For a servant observes, but a friend understands,
The whispers of wisdom that flow from His hands.

With eyes open wide to the vastness of His grace,
We've been granted a glimpse into the most sacred place-
Where the Father and Son with their councils will dwell,
Where the secrets of ages are ours now to tell.

In the quiet of the night, under the stars' soft embrace,
When the world is asleep in its created space,
He calls us to the table, where angels take part,
Where the feast of the future is laid in our hearts.

We know the way, as the path has been shown,
Where the Master's footsteps have gently flown
Through valleys of doubt, and over fear's highest peaks,
To the land of God's promise, where hearts will seek.

And as we walk on, in friendship so divine,
With each step we take, His purpose will shine.
The journey of faith is no longer in vain,
But illuminated by the light of His reign.

In the quiet of hearts, where the secrets unfold;
Where the whispers of love and friendship are told;
We're no longer alone in the vastness of night,
But we are guided by Him, in His everlasting light.

As the sun sets low, and the shadows grow long,
In the warmth of His embrace, we now belong.
For He's called us His friends, to share in His quest
To bring forth the kingdom. In His joy, we can rest.

And when the last breath of our earthly tale
Fades into the silence, behind the heavenly veil.
We'll enter the chamber of endless delight,
Where the Master's great love for us will be in full sight.

Then we shall see, as we are completely known,
The depth of the bond in friendship has grown.
And in the eternal embrace of His love,
We'll realize that this was the promise from above.
