Ode to the Choice Vine

by Annie B © 2024

In the vineyards of the soul, where Life's sun shines,
There stands a vine, most noble, of divine design.
Its tender branches stretch forth in beauty intertwined,
A picture perfect of the love that we could find.

This vine, so rich in symbol, speaks a sacred truth so clearly,
It whispers of a union, free from doubt and fear.
Each branch, a heart that beats in time with Life's own stream,
Where love does flows, as blood within a living dream.

"You did not choose me," says the Vinedresser true,
"But I chose you, in love, that fruitful you'd pursue."
The choice vine, with outstretched arms, a beacon in the night,
A testament of grace, a heaven-sent delight.

In autumn's amber glow, it bears its precious yield,
For in its veins, the essence of the One is sealed.
A harvest of good deeds, a story to be told,
Pulses life and love, a gift to share and hold.

Each cluster, ripe and heavy with sweet nectar's kiss,
It reflects the souls that find in it their boundless bliss.
Connected to the Source, they draw their vital force
Empowered directly from a divine source.

Hark! A warning echoes through the sacred line,
A truth to ponder, to embrace as our own sign,
Without the vine, a branch is but a withered reed,
With its vitality lost, no fruit will be conceived.

To bear the fruit of kindness, love, and grace so fine,
We must abide, entwined within this sacred vine.
So let us be as branches, steadfast, firm, and true,
Drawing from the vine, with a life that's born anew.

John 15:16, in sacred tapestry, is woven through our core,
Guiding us to choose, to love forevermore.
To be the fruitful branches, loved and adored.
In You alone, we find the strength to soar and explore.
