SACRIFICE

by Kristine Stanton © 2024

ROMANS 8:3, NLT
"The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin's control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins."

Have you ever sacrificed
yourself for a loved one?
Were you willing to give up
all things 'til there was none?

If the life of one you loved
was "on the line" this day,
would you sacrifice your life—
would you give it away?

Verily I say to you
that Jesus Christ did this.
He sacrificed His life for ours
so sins would be dismissed.

JOHN 10:11, 17:19, NLT
"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep. . . And I give myself as a holy sacrifice for them so they can be made holy by your truth."

Would you sacrifice your time
to God, the LORD above?
Would you give up everything
for His eternal Love?

Would you do all that it takes
to further the LORD's Plan?
Would you place your trust in Him
or would you trust in man?

Would you dedicate your life
in search of righteousness—
seeking first the Kingdom of
the LORD and His goodness?

Would you humbly bow before
the LORD upon His Throne?
Would you willingly give up
all earthly things you own?

Would you worship God above
and praise Him day and night?
Would you offer Him your prayers
to live in the LORD's Light?

Would you give thanks to the LORD
each day and every night?
Would you praise and worship Him
while walking in His Light?

Would you keep the vows you made—
be faithful to our King?
Would you turn the other cheek—
be ever forgiving?

Would you offer shouts of joy
while honoring the LORD?
Would you want to dwell with Him
right now, and evermore?

ROMANS 3:25, NLT
"For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past."

Did you know that Jesus Christ
redeemed us one-and-all.
He sacrificed His life for ours—
for us He took the fall.

Thank You, Jesus. . .
