Blessing's Way

Blessing not found in pretty verses
more in the depth of our despair,
Blessing not arranged in easy glances
more a deep richness that we share.

Blessing not dancing on parade
more dwelling deep within the soul,
Blessing not someone we persuade
more His deep grace that makes me whole.

Blessing not just because we prayed
more caused by Your deep delight in us,
Blessing should not be our main crusade
more learning, in You to fully trust.

Blessing not defined by fancy cars
more the deep connection to God's heart,
Blessing discovered in His scars
all my vain things – can now depart.

When will I finally see
You're the blessing that I seek,
You're the way, the truth, the life
my strength – when I am weak.
