The World is in a Tizzy

The world is in a tizzy, LORD,
it groans out loud with cries.
There's vi-o-lence and disrespect
and tear-stained, swollen eyes.

Scattered are the seeds of hate
besmirching many hearts.
And as these seeds of hatred grow
they tear the world apart.

I pray we all unite as one,
in peace and harmony
and that we gather in Your name
in prayer, on bended knee.

Heal all the world of dissonance,
let there be no divide.
May there be peace in every home
devoid of sin and pride.

Please be our Refuge — Shelter, LORD,
bring us beneath Your wing.
Protect us from all pestilence
and every evil thing.

Dress all the world in Your armor
from crown of head to sole,
and grace us with Your presence, LORD—
bless us, make us whole.

Remind all peoples everywhere
You are a God of love
who watches over all the earth
with splendor from above.
