Over The Top: Chalk Dust

"I don't need this any more" he said, throwing it into the bush, "Its all over now."

He put his arm round my shoulder and drew me to his side. His eyes were bright with tears. "I didn't think he'd ever forgive me," said Dad as we walked back to the caravan, "That's why I never came back."

"But he did forgive you, didn't he."

"Yes," said Dad, "After all this time, he just wanted to know who it was. And now I'm forgiven."

The forest began to breath again.
