Wording of this Handout:
What is an amoeba?
It is a very small animal - as small as a dot made by a pin prick.
Some people think amoebas are "simple" but now, thanks to very powerful microscopes, we know that they are incredibly complicated.
And how do they feed? They feed by finding food and then pouring themselves right round it - like a living jelly!
Good thing we don't have to eat that way!
Amoebas have no wings, legs or fins, yet they still manage to move about.
How do they do this?
They move by growing a sort of leg shape, and then pouring themselves into it.
What a clever God we have, who can make things like amoebas.
