3. The Bible and Archaeology

Skeptics began to say that the Bible had made a mistake. Right up until about a hundred years ago, many people were saying that there were no Hittites. They had some reasons for this:
1. There were no other records of them from other lands or peoples,
2. No remains of them had been found... it looked as if the Bible might be wrong.
