And as if this wasn't enough proof, clay tablets were also found in Egypt. These tablets told of a great battle between Ramses II of Egypt and the Hittites in 1287 BC. Ramses was even captured by them for a while, but the Egyptians rescued him and beat the Hittites. Archaeologists have even found pictures of the Hittites drawn by Egyptian artists!
