Imagine That: Forgetfulness

Kids ruled the world.
Chaos and disaster. Kids run amok. Lord of the flies all over again. Packs
of wild kids hunting each other, blood, killing, violence. Back to the
jungle. End of the world.
Then I glanced at the calendar. It was April. April the first. The number
one was circled with a red loop. April the first? That was April fool's day.
"Gotcha!" said Dad, slapping me on the back.
Mum went to the kitchen, laughing her head off.
April Fool's day?
How could I have forgotten!
