Ball and Chain

This is a graphic of an old prison ball and chain. The word sin is written on the ball. Its an excellent illustration of what sin is. Sin hangs on us like a ball and chain. It slows us down, it leads us and others askew. When it comes to sin hanging on us like a ball and chain the best thing to do is confess it. 1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Sin cannot keep a grip on us when we confess it. Some sins need to be confessed every 30 seconds, but with the confession their power diminishes each time we confess.
