This chess piece on a board is a good comparison to Christ. I have learned that when the Bible gives us instruction, it's not saying, "This is a good idea." It's saying, "This move will work." Love is a strategy of sorts. When we are confronted with someone else's anger we must choose love, which is kind, patient and not rude. It is disabling to someone who is angry. Their anger cannot go far without the other person's engagement. That's how it is like a strategy in the game of chess. Each person choosing which move they will make.
