Some people don't want God to help them. He calls to them, but they refuse to listen. I think this is what the Pharisees were like in Jesus' time. They didn't want to understand. They could have, but they just didn't want to. God sends all kinds of help to us because He cares so much, but it's like the old saying, You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.
