Poems About Prayer

The Path of Prayer
This is a poem that, I hope, will serve as reminder of just how seriously God takes our prayers.

My God this Night
After a day of Spiritual Warfare, we have a blessing beyond all words - we are invited by the King of Kings and Lord of Lords to rest under His wings of safety.

Power of Prayer
We do not know what we should pray for, but the Spirit makes intercession for us with groanings: Romans 8:27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

We're Stronger When We Pray Together
Just because we know who we are in Christ does not mean everyone else might know. For example, Jesus said of the Pharisees that they were blind guides, and that the blind leading the blind will fall into a pit.

The Final Breath Before Forgiveness
I read Psalm 32:1-7 and was deeply moved by the act of surrendering to the power of prayer, so I decided to write about the journey from feeling so broken and defeated and then moving into the realization that God is the way.

Answers In God's Time
I John 5:14-15 tells us, "if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us:" In Matthew 5:22, it says: "And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. God is a prayer answering God, in His time, His way.

The Secret place.
It's a poetic dialogue between a seeker and his God.

PRAYER
Matthew 6:6“But when you pray, go into your room, shut the door and pray unto your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. “

When My People Pray finalist in poetry contest
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
