We can walk in love and peace
But when we're down we crawl
And often life will take us there
How easily we can fall
But we don't have to stay there
For God will help us fight
And when we're down and crawling
He has us in His sight
And it can be a painful time
When our body slumps to the ground
But He is there to lift us up
And bring us back around
We can walk in love and peace
We never have to crawl
He'll carry us through the painful times
And we'll hear His patient call
We have this choice to take the walk
As we remember how He fell
Heavy with the burden of a sin filled cross
He walked us right out of hell
So don't crawl over the cross of Christ
Or let your burden take you down
Walk with Him in love and peace
As you feel the weight of His Crown
For His Crown is filled with glory
As He crawled for you and me
And we will walk with Him indeed
Over the cross that set us free
