Joy To The World

And our teacher was ready to prevail
And I was mesmerized by this study
For our teacher had set his sail
And the hour passed by so quickly
As perfect rhymes filled my head
I was so happy to be there
And I remember the words he said
Today I write a thank you note
Thanking God for opening the door
And the walls of prison fall away
As I ask the teacher for more
And words poured from this lovely man
He is humble from his head to his feet
And he questions his own capabilities
But God has made him complete
And gathered in one small corner
Are tearful Christians reaching out
Touching and praying for each other
In their midst the teacher walks about
And in his mind he always wonders
Did I make a difference tonight
I pray he would see the fellowship there
Sailing in the wind of God's sight
Joy to the world was the title
And those present made the choice
And every time he teaches God's Word
We gather in that corner to rejoice
