Deliverance

by Randy Lough

Bright and sunny day with heavenly rays
Light that shines through windowpanes of cabin
A mother teaches her young son the way
I can still hear the song of a robin

Learning of Jesus and his sacrifice
My heart swelled with love for the King of kings
Never any doubt, I never thought twice
The story of Jesus pulled my heartstrings

But trials and tribulations came calling
And the boy turned his back on his first love
Boy became man and spent his life crawling
Then God spoke loudly from somewhere above

Now that man's heart is back before the fall
Love is a splendid thing; love conquers all
