Down Life's Path

We're on a business trip
Not a place of abode,
Can't always tell what's ahead
What lies down the road,
Having that asset of time
For our various pursuits,
With the Scripture, our roadmap
For the diverse routes,
Never knowing the journey's length
Will it be short or long?
Or where the bumps
And bends will come along,
Many rather neglecting
In our freedom to roam,
That we will give a reckoning
When we return home.
