Voices

Have we heard the voice of Jesus?
In our minds or in our hearts?
Have we heard the faintest whisper?
That His breath to us imparts?

When He spoke through many ages
To His prophets from of old
They would understand His speaking
And transmit His voice of Gold.

Now, it is the Spirit's prompting
And His presence all around
Siren voices though are calling
From the lure of tinsel-town.

Voices that are artificial
Feed the wandering fleshly mind
Still small voice is soon receding
Louder voices from the blind.

Many voices clamour round us
Satan masks that Voice of Love
And will also mask the freedom
That is only from above.

But the voice of God has spoken
Greater voice has never been
In His Son, He spoke with suffering
Showing what His Grace will mean.

God Himself is now expressing
His great Love for you and me
For, it is to all He's speaking.
Voice from His eternity.

Angel voices herald Jesus
Son of God and Son of Man
He, eternity has captured
Greatest News since time began!
