One Moment

My heart is filled with wonder
As I tenderly hold her hand
And we walk the shore together
Leaving footprints in the sand

Just as a wave flows to her
She waits for a piece of treasure
Little eyes searching for a shell
This love I cannot measure

How powerful is His presence
What a beautiful child I see
As she looks into the ocean
Her sweetness washes over me

And my joy is overwhelming
As the wind blows through her hair
Golden curls flow down her back
I see God standing there

In the quiet of that moment
As she stands there unaware
I bow my head and pray to Him
For He knows how much I care

And I ask for one more moment
As I gaze peacefully into the sea
One more moment to cherish Lord
Bring her back bring her back to me
