A Journey To Happiness

It is not what God had in mind
But if you love Christ completely
Then true happiness you will find
For our life is deeply reflected
By our knowledge in Him alone
God's Word is living and powerful
When you grasp it you have grown
And the ultimate journey awaits you
It began on the day you were born
Bright lights loud noise and coldness
A frightened baby crying and forlorn
Then warmth and loving arms around you
You are fed and tender words are spoken
And God's promise began in that moment
His promise that will never be broken
And all of us that are fellow travelers
Will at times carry a heavy load
But God is in our midst right now
And He'll walk with us down that road
For He was present at our birth
His breath was our first cry
And as we grew in love with Him
He promised us you'll never die
And when we are truly born again
We will meet at the Promised Land
And Jesus stands there waiting
Reaching out reaching out His Hand
So build your life on His promise
Armored with devotion and prayer
And enjoy this journey with Jesus
When it ends Our Father waits there
