The Book of Numbers

Endless names can become a chore
But Our Lord is so so detailed
It's numbers and names and far more
For today God knows our name
And God knew His people then
Over a million named by Him
His chosen God's chosen men
And we are not just a number
Before I was born He knew
And after I die He'll know me
For there's nothing He can't do
And we really matter to Him
But it is He who matters most
He is God The Father who named us
And He is the Heavenly Host
For we are a Royal Priesthood
Not only does He know our name
He wants us to draw people to Him
And tell them why He came
We are accepted by Jesus Christ
Born into this special niche
Born again to speak His name
For our life is oh so rich
The book of Numbers a book of names
But upon our name He will look
And if we are near to Jesus Christ
Our name will be there in His Book
