God's Path

Having discarded The Bible His Word
Because you have found an earthly peace
Denying Him for another voice you heard
You say only men wrote The Bible
Speaking words with complete disdain
Filling your head with these mysteries
In denial that Our Lord was slain
You have suffered unimaginable pain
Unthinkable loss no one should endure
Yet God carried you in the darkest hours
And still about Him you're not sure
Searching the limits of the human brain
Believing those who could steal your life
Pulling you away from the path of God
In relief from great suffering and strife
You say be open to all of the spirits
Put words in The Bible that aren't there
Then honor words that were never written
Trusting in people just people who share
People who will lead you to destruction
Saying you will have life then another
Reincarnated again and again you believe
But The Lord commands there is no other
I prefer to trust in The Lord my God
For I will surely rest in sleep
And I believe in eternal life with Him
Not believing then the devil will keep
It is an urgent choice we make
But God walks us down His Path
Even still some will walk the other way
Is it worth it to see God's wrath
