Our Unbelief

Unbelief has become the thief of life
As we are looking for solid ground
Our Father's walked for forty years
With a faith that was not sound

We have the Book of instructions
And it is our choice to be free
For God has painted a picture
Laid it out for all to see

The Book is called The Bible
The Instructor is the perfect guide
He will walk us through our troubles
And He will never leave our side

Nevertheless we question it
And our fears will hold us back
As the promised life lies before us
We retreat presuming an attack

For man always tends to analyze
While holding the Book of instruction
Then tries to do it his own way
And always this leads to destruction

The Bible leads to the promised life
And God shows us that He is able
But our unbelief will blind us
And we miss the warning label

That God wants to give us abundant life
Not to follow a generational curse
Of a people who wandered aimlessly
For the Cross put it all in reverse

And we are conquerors in Jesus Christ
Ripping off the mask of the thief
Christians who are held accountable
Lord help us in our unbelief
