Standing In His Love

You never really know success
Till you've fallen on your face
And your failure overwhelms you
And you feel you've lost His grace

Familiar surroundings ripped away
But what you taught was true
And your life is changed forever
As you wonder what to do

But only when you're helpless
Is your life in Him complete
His love always remains the same
As your tears fall at His feet

And He will lift you up again
And show you how to teach
Taking you to a pagan world
That seems impossible to reach

For a man can be a giant
When he stands he stands tall
But God must be standing with him
Or he's not a man at all

For life with God is a Holy one
In our failure and in our success
No matter how one uses it
To our Lord we must confess

And only He can measure
But I'm wondering if He will
For He washed away our failures
Dragging a cross up that hill

Our God has spoken through Him
As bloody tears stain the land
Success a place of unfailing love
Where a sinner like me can stand
