It's Tough

It's tough being a Christian
It's harder than the norm
No longer following the world
You stand to face the swarm
Your former mate, the devil
Who longs to have you back
Will push and prod you all the time
Watch out for his attack.

Thankfully, in Jesus
We have the perfect foil
He will calm the roughest storm
When things come to the boil
He is rooting for us all
To reach the winning line
So keep your eyes upon The Lord
Remain part of His vine.
